GX_ST Website ~ Come and Get it
Duel Monsters Recovery Plan
Thursday 06 November 2008 - 21:05:11
Version 3 of episode 1 is now up. This version contains some changes to the script and has better timing. Also, I added attack fx and ensured card names are accurately translated. We are preparing for our batch releases, which will contain 10 episodes each and be released via torrent. I'm starting with episode 1, and will redo any episode I feel needs some changes to keep consistency with newer ones. I will also do episodes we haven't released our own version of. The idea is to have all GX_ST versions here.

We will make one more version only if we can obtain raws from the official DVDs. Some of our raws are already DVD quality, but some are TV rips. We do the best we can. Also, we are partnering up with a group that releases Portuguese subs of this Anime, for those who speak the language. We are helping each other get the materials we need. As soon as their site is running (It seems to not be again atm) I will update our affiliates with them.

Oh, and if you notice an error in card translation, please try and post it in the Comments and Questions thread before we release another one with the same error. This will help us keep everything consistent. Thanks.

As usual, we need help. If you are a translator, timer, typesetter or attack/karaoke fxer, please contact us immediately!

The revival of Soul Eater and a few updates
Monday 03 November 2008 - 11:09:31
Yes, Soul Eater is back in business. Episode 9-10 have been released within the past 2-4 days or so. Just in time for Halloween, no? Or around it anyway. Enjoy!

Those weekly projects are still underway, but we still have our typesetter and translator shortage to deal with. It's the main cause of our slow start to weeklies. We need more typesetters, karaoke/attack fxers, and especially some Japanese translators or anyone who knows enough Japanese to TLC (translation check) the chinese translations. Please help us out if you can!

Abnormally short message aside, I'm out!

You're Probably Thinking "Finally"
Wednesday 29 October 2008 - 03:40:34
As Queen mentioned a few days ago, I did encode 8-13 of Rosario + Vampire. It took some time to get them uploaded, but now they are all up for grabs. Along with a season 1 batch torrent to boot. And don't fret, we haven't forgotten Capu 2, the second season. Episode 1 is being uploaded as I type these words, in both HD and SD format. Expect those along with corresponding torrents soon. Episode 2 and 3 are in the works, and I will begin the script for episode 4 tonight. Skip Beat and Ga-rei aren't forgotten either. Our guys are hard at work on the episodes yet to be released. As for Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, if you weren't aware, episode 15 and 16 were released last week. Torrents will be up for them soon. Expect episodes 17, and 23-30 within the next week or so. Karaoke is taking way too much time for my comfort, so if it is not ready by the time we release 26, I will say screw it and start releasing the second half of season 1, and will add the karaoke when it is done. We'll see how time goes on that.

We haven't completely forgotten about good ol Yugi and Judai. Yamiseeker is finishing up Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 188, and I'll try and press him to finish within the next week or so, since its been about 2 months now since he started, which is way past his due date. Also, I have started a bit of work on the first requested episode from the Doma arc, episode 160. I also wanted to point out that we are beginning a new partnership with a new group that should help us immensely get going on Duel Monsters, and help their group as well. I need to get help from one of the teammates though first, so it's delaying starting our end of the deal. Until the deal is in motion, I'll hold off on releasing specifics, but expect to hear something soon. As for Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX, the other members are working on episode 123's redo. A new version with attack fx and karaoke will be done to replace the old version that was done with little to no staff. Our typesetter and encoder Kawajj has returned as well from hiatus, so expect episode 5 and 6 to be done as well.

And to sum our update up, I wanted to remind you that we will be starting our release of Pocket Monsters this month. Though I am following behind due to so many weekly series starting this month, I am more than half done with the script of Movie 3, and you can expect it to be released next month alongside our other non-weekly project starting in the month of November: Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl. Look forward to it!

On one final note, as stated before, getting new staff will help us immensely with these new weekly projects, and will allow us to release faster. Translators are wanted the most. But we also need more timers, and especially more encoders and typesetters.

Enjoy your night,
GoldenUmi

PS. Check out our sister site, Nakama Fansubs for One Piece releases. We're slowly but surely catching up to the recent episodes!!

The course of the weekly projects is stabilizing ^^
Saturday 25 October 2008 - 20:35:56
Skip Beat 2 has been released. Of course, there is no karaoke yet. But, the lyrics are done. The opening is undergoing fx and the ending is in k-timing. It should be done very soon. Episode 3 has been translated, rough timed, and undergoing TLC.

Rosario+Vampire CAPU2 1 is encoding. Episode 2's missing lines are sorting out. Episode 3's TLC is almost done, and the lyrics for the in-songs are complete and ready for karaoke. The opening and ending karaoke are done.

Ga-Rei Zero episode 2 was backed up because our translator's internet provider screwed up. Thus we could not get the script in time. Though, he is still able to work on episode 3. The two episodes are being rough timed to trim down the delay. They will be adjusted if needed when the scripts arrive. The lyrics are in progress.

Last but not least, ALL of the remaining Rosario+Vampire season 1 episodes have been completed and are uploading. About time, eh? >< Well at least they're done and out of the way now. Expect them soon. We'll announce when, but checking the forum for the absolute latest is your best bet.

For more information and the latest on statuses, see the forum in the 'Our Ongoing Projects' section.

A reminder: More staff will help increase the speed and stability of our releases. *wink* More specifically, we need Japanese translators, typesetters, karaoke fxers, and attack fxers the most. Although, staff other than the proofreading position are welcome. ^^ Note that training is temporarily unavailable due to focusing on the new weeklies. Sorry!

Finally our fall lineup explodes with a BANG
Sunday 12 October 2008 - 20:00:41
We have Ga-rei episode 1 done and up for downloads. Don't fear, we are just trying to handle the karaokes and stuff for Skip Beat, 5D's and Rosario + Vampire Capu 2. They ARE being worked on and will be released very soon. We are very serious about keeping up to date, and on 5D's as well. Just new openings/Endings create some annoying chaos. Once that's all out of the way, we should be able to maintain weekly releases as planned.

Also, about 2 weeks ago I released Yu-Gi-Oh!: Duel Monsters 70-74, just so you're aware.

On a final note, torrents are on a very temporary hold until I get my computer redone. Since it will be wiped clean when I put in the new processor, I'm basically starting from scratch, and there's no point in making a torrent now that will disappear in a couple of days. So about tuesday or wednesday of this week they will return. I will also be batching up some older releases of 10, replacing the old torrents so if you're seeding, you can let them die and grab the new torrents.

And on a final note, though we do have enough staff to handle the new projects, any help would lesson the burden on us and make them come out faster. So if you can help, don't hesitate to ask to join!!

Fall Line-up ftw!
Monday 22 September 2008 - 23:42:58
Yes, it's time for the fall line up to be announced. Remember, we need more Japanese/Chinese translators, typesetters, encoders, and timers! We need them in that order from most needed to less. But, we still need them! Anyway, here's the list:

Weekly (new and continuing):

Skip Beat Airs sundays, starting 10/5
Ga-Rei -zero- Airs sundays, starting 10/5
Rosario+Vampire Capu2 Airs wednesdays, starting 10/1
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Attempt to catch-up and stay weekly (more staff will help greatly)

Non-Weekly Series With Less Priority:

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX
Pocket Monsters Original Series (select episodes)
Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle: Tokyo Revelations OVA

Joint Projects

Soul Eater Attempting to catch-up
Sonic X (On temporary hiatus) Translator needed

Well there you have it. I would like to mention that all staff members chose whatever series they want to do. They are not be forced to do something they don't want to do. Occasionally favors may be asked, but you may refuse by all means. It's been done and I encourage it. A happy team is a happy workspace, which produces great results. If you consider joining the team, I highly suggest you keep that in mind. Also keep in mind that we ask for members who are dedicated. That does not mean, however, working your ass off. Just doing your end of the project as you promised. In the event where something comes up, we understand entirely. But a simple heads up is appreciated. Okay so as you can see, WE REALLY NEED MORE STAFF! ^^;;

Yall better look forward to these upcoming series!

Super Releases!
Monday 15 September 2008 - 22:39:34
Our awesome encoder, Super Sonic, has a fantastic treat for you guys! He worked very hard to encode these four episodes of GX in one day, so we all hope you enjoy them! どーぞ! (Go ahead!)

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX 174

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX 175

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX 176

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX 177

On a side note, we still need more staff, especially translators. We are considering many new projects coming this fall through winter, and we really need the extra help to take up all the awesome new anime around the corner. Chinese and Japanese translators are more than accepted, and we are willing to train for certain jobs, especially timing and typesetting. I said this before and I said it again, so join us, people! ^^

The super special awesome Queen is out~~~!

New Yu-Gi-Oh! Releases
Friday 12 September 2008 - 01:02:08
Yu-Gi-Oh!: Duel Monsters
187

Yu-Gi-Oh!: Duel Monsters GX
173

We are currently planning out our new fall lineup. I want you guys to know there are some serious changes in motion, and we WILL be doing weekly 5D's episodes as well as a few other series we are deciding on. Some non-weekly new projects are planned as well. We will continue to work on One Piece with our sister site Namaka Fansubs, and Duel Monsters and GX as well. We aren't rushing on GX, however, so we can get weekly series done as first priority.

That being said, a great deal of work is being done for GX right now. With the last missing HQ raw acquired from Janime, 174-177 are all ready for encoding and should be done within the week, or at the start of next week. The end of the series will be done upon my return next month. My internet is going down for a while so I won;t be back until October. But don't worry, the only things that should slow down are Duel Monsters releases, but the rest of the team are great workers and will do their best. We plan to complete season 1 of R+V this month for the new season's arrival next month on the first. We are also getting ready to start 5D's weekly episodes as well.

So now you know. I'll see you in a little less than a month boys and girls.

~GU

GX_ST NEEDS HELP!!! ESPECIALLY CHINESE OR JAPANESE TRANSLATORS!!!!!!!!

Fall down quickly ~ 早く落ちて
Saturday 06 September 2008 - 03:03:41
Hello minna~

Just a quick notice that Yuugiou DM 1+2 final will be released via Direct Download / Torrent over this weekend. Assuming I have gotten access to the AniRena tracker. All these times using Aegisub, I just now noticed a spell checker...it definitely brings down the thought that I have anything above a 50 IQ xD

All of the newer Yuugiou episodes will be released in .mp4 for better quality, and stuff. With .ac3 audio, for clarity that you need 4 million codecs to work right (just kidding of course...it only took me 3 million)

Jya neeeeeeeee~
